It was a beautiful calm and sunny day for our fishing trip today. This cow head porgy was caught on a handline. The water was also very calm making this shot of a moon jellyfish possible.
This morning Bruce, Chris, Ron and Katie chartered us to take them wildlife viewing and fishing for a half a day on the Sittee River. It turned out to be a beautiful sunny morning. The sun brought out dozens of iguanas that we spotted sunning themselves in the trees and along the river banks. We also spotted a turtle and crocodile taking advantage of the sun.
We were also able to spot many birds including herons, egrets, vultures, hawks, flycatchers and more!
Luckie climbed a coconut tree to pull some young coconuts and demonstrate how to open them and then we took the group through the path that was hand cut through the mangroves to give access to the Anderson lagoon. This is the same lagoon that glows with bioluminescence at night. Once in the lagoon the guys tried their luck at some fishing.
