GOLD STANDARD COVID-19 STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES
In order for Belize to open up safely to tourists the Belize Tourism Board in partnership with our National Oversight Committee and the Belize Ministry of Health, the Gold Standard Certification Program was developed to standardize health and safety in the tourism industry for the safety of Belizeans and our visiting guests.

- Unvaccinated tourists will be required to present a negative Covid 19 PCR or rapid test on arrival or be tested at the airport at their own expense ($50.00USD).
- Happy Go Luckie Tours will be working with other Gold Standard Certified hotels and tour operators to ensure the safety of guests and our staff.
- All of our staff have gone through training to ensure they are up to date on all the new standards and procedures we will be following.
- All our staff are fully vaccinated.
- All payments will be taken online when possible via payment app or through booking resorts. We can also take cash payments if necessary.
- We have a staff member, our Gold Standard manager, who's sole responsibility is ensuring standards are maintained and guest and staff safety. The GS manager is also our point of contact between us and the health authorities should we have a medical incident.
- Social distance of 6' is recommended between our tour groups and others should we encounter other groups while on tour.
- We have hand sanitizing stations in all our transport and marine vessels for the guests and to use whenever appropriate or required.
- All of our tour gear and vehicles are completely sanitized and logged between guests. Snorkel gear is properly sanitized according to Divers Alert Network standards using sodium hypochlorite (bleach) solution. DAN Best Practices Gear Sanitization
- Should we have any medical incident while guests are in our care we have a set of protocols to handle the situation with care and consideration for everyone involved. Our aim is always safety of everyone in our care.
