We went out for an evening fishing trip on the Sittee River with our friends, Jon and Shelly. This was Shelly's first time trolling for fish and she was the lucky one that caught us dinner! She caught a nice mackerel.

We do a lovely trip in the evening which starts just before the sunset. We cruise the Sittee River as the sun sets and you get an opportunity to spot iguanas and birds. After the sun goes down you can spot Belize's many nocturnal creatures along the riverbanks such as crocodiles, gibnut, raccoons, coatimundi, and others. Also included in this interesting tour is a trip into the Anderson Lagoon. If it is a nice dark night you can see the magical bioluminescence in the water. Whatever is in the water will leave a trail of glowing light behind it and it is quite interesting to see.
